Review of online selling options for small business owners

Most of the large online ecommerce websites have a large number of vendors who process the order after it is received. They do not stock or despatch the product listed on their website and vendors selling the product have to contact the website operator separately through the contact form.

My experience is limited to selling virtual products like domains and eBooks of relatively low value. Considering Indian conditions, there is little statistical data available on how many buyers make fake claims for non receipt of item delivered (a loss which the seller has to absorb ), which a seller of physical products must contend with.
